Maintenance Technician

Description:
PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a candidate for Maintenance Technician position located in Youngstown, OH.

The primary focus of this position is to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and support equipment.

Duties:
Performing machine and preventative maintenance, basic electrical and building repairs and communication with support staff.
Supervision ranges from close to general.

Essential Duties:

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Maintenance Technician Senior for an opening in Naples, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
Working from manufacturer's specifications and engineering data, or from data developed in conjunction with manufacturing personnel, setup and prepare CNC machine tools for operation making necessary, calibrations, adjustments and modifications.

Make test runs to insure machine is in proper working order. Analyze, locate and repair malfunctions in complex solid state analog and digital control systems.

• Technically evaluate bids and participate in the supplier selection process. 
• Review supplier designs against licensor requirements, code requirements, and customer requirements. 
• Coordinate with suppliers throughout the fabrication phase of the project. 
• Visit shops for kickoff meetings, critical inspections, and provide feedback to improve future designs. 
• Work closely with all members of the project team including quality assurance, piping, instrument, electrical, process, and structural designers, purchasing personnel, and project managers to meet project requirements for static equipment. 
• Troubleshoot design issues and issue resolution. 
Skills/Qualifications: Basic Candidate Requirements: 
- BS degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering is required. 
- Experience with specification and/or manufacture of vessels per American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Section VIII Division 1 or are required. 
- Experience with specification and/or manufacture of heat exchangers per API 660 (American Petroleum Institute) and TEMA R (Thermal Exchange Manufacturers Association) standards 
- Experience in Static Equipment design (vessels and/or shell in tube heat exchangers), specification and/or manufacturing. 
- Experience with fabrication of alloy vessel and heat exchangers is an advantage. 
- Familiarity with code calculations, post weld heat treatment (PWHT), welding symbology and general constructability issues is a plus. 
- Good working knowledge and use of Compress (ASME Vessel design software), Adobe Acrobat Standard, Microsoft Office (Word, EXCEL, Power Point) is considered ideal. 
- Disciplined approach to maintaining project files for team use is key. 
- Multi-tasking abilities to maintain contributions on schedule for several projects simultaneously is key. 
- Ability to communicate well with suppliers in both written and verbal communication is desired. 
- Ability to work well in a team environment and provide proper updating of Project managers, Project Engineers, and Procurement of status of requisitions and document reviews is necessary.
- Ability to mentor and help develop younger engineers is considered ideal. 
- Experience utilizing HTRI is a plus. 
- Experience with Fired Heaters is a plus
