Skill set:
Primary and secondary structural design of light aircraft (FAR 23). First wave will need to have a strong background doing primary airframe structural layout utilizing Catia V5. Later in the program, the focus will be on aircraft primary and secondary detail design utilizing Catia V5. A composite background with experience working with Catia V5 and CPD is ok, but only if there is also experience with metallic structural design.

Position Responsibilities:
Under the direction of project design engineering, serve as a member of a design team providing structural layout and detail design for commercial light/general aviation aircraft. The main product line will require design-to-build activities for a commercial (Far 23) aircraft composed of primary/secondary metallic structure (some composite).

Required:
· 10 years of experience in Aerospace design is a minimum
· 6000+ hours experience with CATIA v5 (R25/R26 preferred)
· Entirely 3D CAD Design using Model Based Definition (MBD)
· Experience with ENOVIA\SmarTeam
· Experience with FAR 23 aircraft much preferred

This position is to support of the development and checking of 3D Digital data for the piping systems.
Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. - Design solar panels, solar panel components, and associated support tooling in AutoCAD / Inventor Pro Suite. Also
design and update searchlight and high intensity illumination products for solar cell and solar panel test in AutoCAD /
Inventor Pro Suite.
- Work closely with Panel Product Engineers to translate customer schematics and specifications into manufacturing
efficient panel layouts and detailed manufacturing drawings, inclusive of Bill of Materials (BOMs), detail views, wiring
lists, schematics, and notes. Participate in round-table drawing reviews and CAD-check of drawings generated by others.
Generate soft tooling files from AutoCAD model. Learn to generate and check photomask drawings.
- Work with Illuminations Systems Product Engineers to generate and update part and assembly documentation needed
for procurement, manufacturing and assembly, including generation of 3D models, verification of model tolerances, and
model management in VAULT.
Work with Product and Process Engineers to identify and define the manufacturing support tooling necessary to safely
build and test the hardware in conformance with customer requirements. Generate tooling procurement and assembly
drawings and models using AutoCAD/Inventor Pro Suite.
- Support proposal and design trade efforts by providing rapid assessment of potential layout options. Assess
customer ICDs for manufacturability and provide feedback/improvement suggestions to enhance compliance and/or
manufacturability. Participate in LEAN improvement initiatives from both manufacturing and engineering perspective.
Continually advance ideas for streamlining both design/documentation and manufacturing processes by applying DFMAT
principles to all generated and reviewed deliverable hardware and manufacturing/support tool designs.
- Apply GD&T principles to assure manufacturability for internally built assemblies and to help resolve procurement
issues.
- Use Finite Element Analysis to support new design development and Root Cause investigations. Use Inventor CFD tool
to assess thermal and mechanical stress on deliverable hardware and to assess factors of safety for assembly/ground
support tooling.
- Assist Product Engineering in preparation of program SDRL documentation, including parts and material lists, mass
analysis, magnetic moment analysis, and detailed design descriptions for internal and customer review packages. Learn
to perform radiation and power analysis and to generate handling procedures and hardware test reports to backfill as
needed during periods of high volume activity.

Material & Process Engineer V

Coordinates definition of complex requirements for composite materials, parts and processes used in the manufacture of products for the 777X Composite Wing Center. Promotes standardization across the Company. Leads evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs particularly in composite lamination and verification processes. Qualify new materials, parts and processes to meet requirements. Leads integration and process control of new technologies. Reviews and approves test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements. Coordinates complex analysis to determine reasons for failures of materials, parts or processes in composite lamination. Coordinates broadly based corrective and preventive actions. Leads development and qualification of sophisticated production systems to satisfy user requirements. Works under consultative direction.

• Expert in composite automation and composite lamination. Develop and directs new material placement processes and machine requirements.

• Expert knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures, composite lamination)

• Knowledge of FMEA and PFMEA.

• Expert knowledge of Design of Experiment and data analysis.

• Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.

• Develops advanced technical ideas and guides their development into final product.

• Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and programs.

Description:
The Structural Analysis Section in the Antenna Systems Department within the Mechanical Engineering Directorate is responsible for performing detailed structural, dynamic, and kinematic analyses on Mechanical Systems and can be called upon to support environmental testing. The candidate will plan and perform structural analysis of mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical systems and interpret structural analysis results. In addition, the candidate may be called upon to plan, witness, and interpret results of structural testing.
Required Skills:
* 6+ years of experience in structural analysis including finite element modeling working from CAD geometries

The Manufacturing /Tooling Engineer will work closely with many internal departments such as Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Planning. Responsible for effectively managing, coordinating and controlling new tooling design, sign-off, development, procurement and maintenance, ensuring quality and delivery meets expectations of the customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of the tooling design, sign-off, development, procurement and maintenance process by providing leadership which generates a culture of empowerment, individual responsibility and stretch

Position Purpose:



Under limited supervision, performs inspection duties and assists other tooling inspectors in general and technical aspects of Quality Control in a specified area of tooling inspection.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: 1. Prepares inspection documentation and maintains files as required. Ensures current engineering revisions are incorporated per established procedures. 2. Performs periodic inspections to ensure compliance per FAA requirements and approved quality procedures. 3. Creates Model Base inspection processes using CATIA model based tool designs that can be used for both fabrication and rework of tools by the tool shop personnel. 4. Analyzes data using Metrologic inspection software and create electronic quality folders in SmarTeam to store inspection data for all model based tooling. 5. Promotes and maintains quality standards and processes. 6. Works with tooling suppliers to ensure the inspection data is correct and in the proper format on all in coming tools. 7. Makes recommendations to Tooling Management on continuous improvements in the tooling inspection area. 8. Ensures proper use and storage of area tools, equipment and supplies. Advises management of any associated problems or other requirements. 

Additional Functions: 1. Assists other inspectors as required. 2. Performs other duties as assigned. 

Other Requirements: 1. Ability to import and export inspection data in many different formats (Word, Excel, PDF, etc.). 2. Model Base systems (Cadam, Catia V4, Catia V5) experience preferred. 3. Must be proficient in use of inspection tools and equipment. 4. Must be proficient in use of conventional optical measurement equipment. 5. Must be competent with theodolite and laser tracker systems. 6. Ability to recognize potential problems with drawings and elevate to management. 7. Must be competent with coordinate measurement machines (CMM). 8. Must be competent with electronic tool record keeping system. 9. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds & pass the vision test as required by area job responsibilities. 10. Must have good communication skills.



 



Education and Experience Requirements:



High school diploma/GED. Valid Drivers License required. Must be proficient in blueprint reading/interpretation, shop math, and quality control manual as required. Eight (8) years technically related experience to include at least six (6) years related inspection experience.
 

Unique Skills:



CMM experience is preferred but experience with Laser Trackers, Articulating Arms or another 3D inspection device is acceptable. Metrolog metrology software preferred but not required. Experience with SA, Verisurf, PCDMIS, etc. also acceptable.

We are seeking a contract Electrical Engineer specializing in wire harness designing. We are working on optimizing the design the wiring harnesses and cable assemblies which will integrated into military ground vehicles, such as tanks and armored personnel carriers.



Daily duties will consist of specifying/design of components from requirements and work on through modeling, simulation and analysis or test that requirements are met. Will work on creating engineering documentation (specs, ICDs, design documents, and technical/test reports) and complete technical data packages. Handle cost estimating, scheduling assigned electrical design projects; work on ECOs and change proposals as well as monitoring to ensure manufacturing, and delivery of components schedules are met. Applicant will assist drafters / designers in creating clear and releasable documents.



Required:
* 3 years’ experience designing wire harnesses for military vehicles.
*Working knowledge of Visio Technical, Pro-E, Pro-Cable and/or CADDS 5
*Understanding of military electrical connectors and cabling specs such as SAEJ1939 CANBus, Mil-Std – 1553, 10/100 and Gigabit Ethernet Protocols
