This role will be responsible for development of novel software tools for scientific and quantitative analysis, multivariate modeling of high-content data centered on imaging platforms including multispectral / hyperspectral, X-ray imaging … etc., to support various internal projects. Project stages include proof-of-concept code development, validation, refinement, and handoff for implementation. Expected knowledge includes proficiency with chemometric and multivariate statistical modeling, machine learning of high-dimensional data derived from image analysis and object classification. Experience with data fusion techniques to integrate multiple data sources is highly desirable.
Role will be 90% programming new hyperspectral, X-ray imaging analysis tools for novel applications. Strong familiarity with hyperspectral / X-ray image processing tools and object classification methods is required. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated experience in high-dimensional data analysis and multivariate classification and regression methods. Significant hands-on experience with multivariate statistical analysis of spectral and imaging data such as PLS, generic machine learning (e.g., SVM, boosting … etc.) and deep learning is highly desired. Some experience with basics of image acquisition, prototype construction and design of experiments is a plus. Experience with MATLAB programming and GUI development is highly preferred. Image processing and Computer Vision experience is highly desired. Must be able to work in high performing teams comprised of multiple disciplines. Results orientation is critical. Minimum education requirements Ph.D. and 10+ years experience in Computer, Electrical, Biological, Agricultural, or Chemical Engineering, chemistry, physics or related field.
