Analyze new systems designs, assess technical impacts, propose EMC compliance approaches, review/approve test plans, test procedures and test reports, and check compliance with certification regulations.
Support and witness EMC tests in Canada, United States and Europe as needed.
Scope the critical work needed, estimate the time required, plan and execute according to priorities.
Master degree in Electrical or EMC Engineering, or alternatively a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Physics Engineering with eight (8) years aerospace experience.
Have a minimum of eight (8) years working experience in EMC/HIRF/Lightning (FAR 25.981 is an asset).
Have EMC bench testing experience (aircraft testing experience is an asset).
Have a minimum of five (5) years working experience with systems qualification/certification.
Have a general knowledge of aircraft and harness design.
Have good oral and technical writing skills in English (French is an asset).
Have strong communication, troubleshooting and negotiation skills.
Must have a minimum of two (2) years working experience with cabling/harness design.
Must have familiarization with DO160, STD ARP, MIL STD, FAA regulations, as well as other applicable airworthiness regulations.
Must be able to support and witness EMC tests in Canada, United States and Europe as needed.
