Description: PDS Tech, Inc is seeking a candidate for the Business Systems Analyst- Top Secret Clearance position located in Dulles, VA. Principal Business Systems Analyst responsible for providing process & tool set guidance, implementation & administration in support of Business Ops program execution. Analyze, identify & implement optimal approaches for the setup & deployment of business processes & tools across Business Ops. Play a key supporting role in success of internal surveillance & government audits by creating & implementing efficient, common methodologies across programs. Work closely w/ multi functional & cross business teams including partnering w/ program office teams, customers & enterprise-level teams. Coordinate tool selection, implementation & administration, conduct business process & tool training classes & workshops consistent w/ the Mgmt Control System Description, as well as industry best practices.
Duties: •Provide Tier 1-4 support for both enterprise & in-house developed tools, primarily developed in VBA/Excel & MS Access •As a system administrator in secure program areas, support the configuration, maintenance, upgrade, testing, & troubleshooting of supported applications including MS Project, Deltek Cobra, Deltek wInsight, & Deltek Acumen •Implement approved features to custom tools & evaluate & manage desired enhancements for commercial tools •Observe Business Operations processes supporting program execution, proactively identify process gaps, opportunities to streamline processes •Work collaboratively w/ company's Information Systems & Enterprise Financial Systems personnel, systems, & strategies •Host tool & process training events & provide live demonstrations of tool capabilities to users. •Maintain expert knowledge of company's financial policies, disclosure statements & processes to assure understanding potential impacts to changes / developments of supported systems •Maintain industry awareness & vendor specific developments to leverage &/or mitigate impact to existing systems, processes, policies Exp: Min 10 years of relevant exp in the following areas: •Expd system administrator for client/server database driven tools, specifically Deltek Cobra or similar enterprise-level Earned Value Mgmt (EVM) System software •Working knowledge of relational databases & SQL script creation •Previous participation in testing, analyzing & reporting results of software updates •Active TS/SCI REQ’D
Preferred: •Exp developing tools w/ MS-Access, Microsoft Visual Studio, or Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications •Exp w/ EVM & related practices & tools •Knowledge & understanding of project scheduling, using a commercial off the shelf scheduling software tools •Exp w/ Deltek Costpoint ERP financial system •Microsoft Share Point, HTML development exp •Exp w/ implementation of Lean/Six Sigma initiatives
Skills & Qualifications: •Working knowledge of Cobra, wInsight, Costpoint & exp using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, MS Project) & MS Visual Basic for Applications •Knowledge of relational databases & SQL script creation •Excellent time mgmt, organizational, analytical & decision-making skills, w/ the initiative, flexibility, & resourcefulness to support fast-changing program requirements
Education/Certifications: •BA/BS in Finance, Business, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering or related field & ten years of related exp req’d •Professional Certifications in EVM, Program Mgmt, &/or Information Technology preferred
