- Technician Locomotive/Coach Running Maintenance/Repair

PDS TECH INC. is seeking  Technician Locomotive/Coach Running Maintenance/Repair - position located in West Palm Beach,FL.

Perform day to day running maintenance and unscheduled repair to a fleet of locomotives, 
coaches, and train sets

  • Includes but not limited to all of the following: 
  • Perform running maintenance on a fleet of locomotives, coaches, and train sets via 
  • maintenance instructions from Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) 
  • Perform unscheduled repairs on locomotives, coaches, and train sets including Mechanical 
  • repairs, Electrical repairs, highly complex Technical and Troubleshooting repairs on 
  • locomotives, coaches, and train sets 
  • Follow all maintenance instructions (wherever available) to adhere to and maintain compliance 
  • and high quality standards 
  • Responsible for keeping workstation and work areas clean and free of debris at all times 
  • Must be able to perform all other functions as needed including forklift operation, daily cleaning 
  • operations, and other as needed 
  • Develop a working relationship with the Customer as an employee and representative of 
  • Siemens Mobility 
  • Verify that all defects, tasks, and / or incidents have been reported and documented in (CMMS) 
  • for compliance, issue tracking, and closure 
  • Provide first line technical assistance to operations staff for troubleshooting and repair of 
  • locomotives, coaches, and train sets 
  • Maintain compliance to all Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) related safety rules, laws, and 
  • regulations 
  • Always ensure highest quality standards are met in accordance with Siemens Rail 
  • Systems 
  • Foster a work environment that drives a safety first zero harm culture (ZHC) and speak up when 
  • necessary as a stakeholder for shop and site safety for yourself and your coworkers 
  • Work with the local leadership to create and implement a learning plan and training solutions to 
  • develop internal talent and enhance capability within the hourly workforce 
  • Act as a mentor to provide on-the-job training for field service technicians and locomotive 
  • movement engineers as required 
  • Actively participate in our continuous improvement program and drive employee 
  • involvement 
  • Will strive to be qualified maintenance personnel QMP certified within the first six 
  • months of employment 
  • Report 100% of all safety related incidents and / or chemical spills / EHS incidents to your 
  • Maintenance Manager 
  • Interact with the leadership as needed on all site issues, systems, and related facility operations 
  • Must adhere to all scheduled break and lunch times 
  • Must be in workstation daily at start of shift 
  • Must comply with all personal time off (PTO) guidelines and policies 

  1. Electrical or mechanical or equivalent work experience is desired 
  2. Required experience: 3-5 years of working experience with a railroad or other technical agency 
  3. Detailed knowledge of technical aspects of the rolling stock / depot 
  4. You may be required to work the off shift in this position 

Experience with FRA relations 
Experience with engine systems is desired 
Experience with electrical systems is desired 
Experience with HVAC systems is desired 
Experience with pneumatic air brake systems is desired 
Experience with auto body repair is desired 
Experience with upholstery / seat repair is desired 
Experience with welding including certifications is desired
