Description: PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking an Assembler for an open position in Houston, TX
In your role, you will:
C300 Cabinet Assembly
Build C300 standard cabinets using defined Standard Work and Customers cabinet definitions as defined in the Total Plant Configurator.
Read drawings and interpret what is required to build.
Keep accurate records of assemblies that have been built.
Use of hand tools and light power tools to build cabinets
Follow Safety and Electrostatic Discharge procedures.
As well as above follow the guidelines below:
-Attend weekly safety meetings per Safety training matrix. Adhere to all applicable HSE program requirements
-Achieve TCIR of (0) and LWIR (0) goals.
-Observe fellow employees, contractors, and visitors. Report unsafe behavior. Report work related injuries & near misses the same day they occur. Report 1 near miss per quarter.
-At the beginning of each work shift, inspect your area and equipment for safety related problems. Report any problems immediately.
-Participate in required HOS training. Follow standard work for assigned area. Follow management system (5S& production board process, visual control processes such as andon flags. Participate in identifying opportunities to improve performance and eliminate waste. Surface ideas to leadership daily or at meetings. Participate in finding solutions to quality issues or flow issues. Sort, store, shine and sustain assigned areas everyday. Participate in "5 why" process to help avoid repeat quality problems by trying to understand the root cause and a way to eliminate it. Participate in the Cell Risk Assessment program
HSE improvements based on Near Miss program
Incorporation of Behaviors into Self Assessment program
-Revising, and improving the work areas standardized work.
-Providing training of new team members to the work area. Assist with Custom assembly and Integration activities when required.
-Ensure the high quality and continuous improvement of the Series C cabinets being assembled.
Stay within client's guidelines
-Personal time taken and late arrivals.
-Vacation & personal time request procedure
-Help to achieve and maintain OTTTR AND OTTSR by insuring that cabinet tester always have cabinets to test.
-Improve the throughput of cabinet assembled by suggesting ideas to improve productivity.
-Participate in daily stand up meetings, review results, actions and improvement ideas.
-Act as a resource for Series C Standard Operating Sheets and opportunities.
