Network Engineer, Datacenter Infrastructure

PDS Tech is seeking a candidate for the Network Engineer, Datacenter Infrastructure position located in Prineville, OR for a 11 month contract.

Job Description: 

* Work cross functionally with project management and network engineering to generate datacenter build implementation plans including Method of Procedure (MOP) and Bill of Materials (BOM)
* Interface with cabling, facilities, construction, network engineering teams to build data center network infrastructure.
* Experience in Data Center design and construction
* Good understanding of operating procedures in a critical environment
* Conduct presentations and training
* Ability to understand single line diagrams, Visio or CAD drawings
* Ability to write detailed technical documentation
* Perform queue management for alarms, tasks, and incidents and participate in ongoing deployment projects
* Minimum of 4 years of IP networking experience with designing, deploying, and supporting data center deployment and building large-scale infrastructure
* Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring and control systems typically used in critical environments
* Competence in configuring and troubleshooting IP routing/switching technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP, and VRRP in a dual-stack IPv4/6 environment
* Hands on experience with enterprise and carrier class routing and switching platforms
* Experience working in a multi-vendor network environment preferred
* Solid understanding of data center design and operational best practices
* Building Management System knowledge and hands on experience, BacnetIP, ModbusX a plus
* Network certifications such as CCNP or JNCIP preferred, Expert level certifications a plus
* Fiber optic and cabling certification (RCDD) a plus   
* Ability to analyze complex situations and utilize creative problem solving abilities under pressure
* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced global team environment with limited supervision
* Strong attention to detail with excellent time and project management skills
* Ability to lift/move 30-40 pounds on a daily basis
* 10% to 30% of travel required
