Our client in Orangeburg, SC is seeking a CMM Operator
In this role you will be responsible for day to day quality assurance activities using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) within the field of Metrology. This includes operations and programming of CMM equipment with PC-DMIS software Other duties include: --Performs inspections both CMM and manual. --Reviews job related material and process documentation, confirms accuracy and completeness. --Completes first article inspection reports from CMM results. --Works with all departments to improve quality of products and assists in translation of results. --Keeps CMM’s clean and software up to date as provided by the company. --Performs additional duties as required
Qualifications and Requirements
--High school diploma or GED required, with preferred coursework in advanced math. --An Associate’s Degree in a related discipline such as machining is highly desired. --Five (5) years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment required. --Position will require solid math skills, ability to read and interpret part and tooling blueprint requirements, programming and operating skills with PC-DMIS. --Performing tasks associated with a wide variety of technical measuring instruments which are used to maintain close tolerances and the reading and interpretation of complex blueprints and drawings to include geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T).
