Chipton-Ross is seeking a Collaboration Platform Developer for an opening in Hazelwood, MO.
RESPONSIBILITIES: A Developer is required to join our Collaboration Services team within the End-User Infrastructure Services organization and perform the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of enhancements to our portfolio of software solutions, including but not limited to: inSite, Digital Workplace, and Enterprise Search. The portfolio includes a suite of web tools that allow for collaborating, learning, and replicating of information across the enterprise. Employees across Client Company use inSite to create and maintain their work profile, search for and connect with other employees, create and participate in communities for discussion and sharing, and also storing and sharing streaming videos. The Digital Workplace is envisioned to be a single location for employees to get access to the information and application capabilities they need to improve business productivity. Finally, our Enterprise Search service is in the process of a major enhancement to improve the performance and ability to find relevant content across the enterprise. The Java Developer should have experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. Knowledge of Java/Java EE application development is required, along with knowledge of industry trends for web application development and ability to provide expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.Responsibilities: - Completes application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities utilizing an agile methodology; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms. - Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives - Designs and develops user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests Social Collaboration Platform Integration and Development - Contribute to the end-to-end lifecycle for development enhancements to the portfolio of software solutions based on defined and prioritized business requirements - End-to-end sustaining support across the portfolio of software solutions (application, server software and configuration, hardware, etc.) in alignment with Service Level Agreements for the enterprise - Support cross-team development forum, sharing best practices and mentoring others to facilitate knowledge sharing
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: • Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns • Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management, etc.) • Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software • Well versed in emerging web technologies and responsive web design. Experience with utilizing responsive web design technologies such as Bootstrap framework, HTML5, CSS. • In-depth understanding of content management, collaboration and social media tools and techniques • Working knowledge of Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, Load balancer, Firewall, SMTP (preferably more in depth knowledge, other than just high level). • Strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills • Excellent team player with ability to work with multiple vendors and internal departments • Outstanding customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills

EDUCATION: Accredited Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
